BOAT & EQUIPMENT
Boat & Motor . . . .
I fish out
of a Sea Pro V2100 Bay Boat which is 21’ 6” long with a beam of 94” and an
effective fishing draft of about 18”. The boat is powered by a 115 horsepower
Yamaha four-stroke engine. This quiet, clean-burning, fuel efficient engine
pushes the boat at a top speed of about 38 miles per hour and provides an
effective range of over 200 miles on the 54 gallon fuel tank. This is the ideal
hull configuration for the area I fish. The boat’s minimal draft allows fishing
the shallow grass flats common to the area, yet it has a forward entry that
facilitates safety and stability in running the often-choppy bay and in the open
gulf. The interior layout is roomy enough to comfortably fish 2 anglers plus
the captain. The boat is a center console design with a leaning post and
features fore and aft fishing chairs. Other features include two fully aerated
bait wells, built-in ice box, insulated fish box, dry storage, anchor locker,
salt water washdown, pull-up cleats, drink holders, vertical rod holders and a
Bimini top*. (I usually fish without the top. If you feel you might want some
shade, let me know when making your reservation.)

Additional equipment . . .
The
boat is equipped with a 24 volt, 80 pound thrust MINN KOTA "Rip Tide" trolling
motor. In addition to all U. S. Coast Guard required safety equipment, I also
carry a hand-held VHF radio, a cellular phone and utilize a Garmin GPSMap 168
plotter/fishfinder.
