Welcome to Captain David Zeigler's Z-horse Charters. I fish the
inshore and near shore waters of Apalachicola Bay and adjacent waters on north
Florida's beautiful "Forgotten Coast". The area is surrounded by
a chain of sand reefs and barrier islands featuring some of the most beautiful
beaches in the world. Thousands of acres of lush seagrass beds and a rich
estuarine environment seasonally provide home to one of Florida's most plentiful
populations of tarpon, seatrout, redfish, Spanish & king mackerel and a wide
variety of other gamefish. I generally fish out of the marina located at
Lanark Village which is 4 miles east of Carrabelle, thirty minutes east of
Apalachicola and about an hour's drive south of Tallahassee. Numerous accommodations and
restaurants are located nearby.No fishing license required! I furnish your license, rods, reels, tackle, bait,
ice, boat and local knowledge. You only need to bring personal items and
whatever you want to eat and drink during the day.
We will fish from my 21' Sea Pro bay boat, allowing us to fish in water as
shallow as 18" while still able to comfortably run the open bay or outside
of the islands as weather permits. Although the boat is quite spacious, my
charters are generally limited to two anglers for serious fishing. I can
accommodate additional passengers, but I usually do so only for more casual
outings.
I will customize our trip to meet your requirements. We can fish artificials,
